About the Institute

The Swargiya Sushiladevi Anandrao Abitkar B.Sc College of Nursing, Pal, Kolhapur takes pride to offer B.Sc. Nursing – a Professional Programme, for girls and boys, under Yuva Gramin Vikas Sanstha since 2025.

The college campus is situated at Pal. It provides a serene environment for learning and assimilation. It has all the basic amenities and facilities and is easily approachable from all corners of the city by road and readily available public transport.

The college is planned for doing pioneering work in the field of Nursing Education and for imparting professional expertise to the young aspirants who will be groomed to dedicate themselves to the service of humanity. The college is recognized and approved by the Maharashtra State Govt. and Maharashtra Nursing Council. The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.

Objectives

  • Apply knowledge from physical, biological and behavioral sciences, medicine including alternative systems and nursing in providing nursing care to the individuals, families and communities.
  • Demonstrate understanding of lifestyle and other factors which affect health of individuals and groups provide nursing care based on steps of nursing process in collaboration with the individuals and groups.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skill in making decision in all situations in order to provide quality care.
  • Utilize the latest trends and technologies in health care setting to deliver optimum care
  • Provide promotive, preventive and restorative health services in line with national health policies and programmes.
  • Practice within the framework of code of ethics and professional conduct and acceptable standards of practice within the legal boundaries.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals and groups and members of the health care team in order to promote healing with effective interaction.
  • Demonstrate skills in teaching to individuals and groups in clinical/ community health settings.
  • Participate effectively as members of the health team in health care delivery system.
  • Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills in clinical / community health settings.
  • Conduct need based research studies in various settings and utilize the research findings to improve the quality of care.
